Invites

Martha Stewart invitation ideas

3 colours and layered florals / the honeycomb print, grey colour with pink (my fav colour lol)
these could be adjusted for a tropical theme. Ribbons.

- floral
- printed on cloth invite
- ticket invites: there was also a template on her site to make a passport document booklet invite

The blue Save the Date tickets are my favourite ($3.50 per set)

1 Ticket sleeve to hold your passes
2 Passes with the formal Save the Date or Formal Invitation and another pass which you can include travel agent information or activities you have planned, etc.
1 RSVP postcard
1 Exterior white mailing envelope.

The passport idea is also pretty cool.

The postcard idea is now my favorite, much simpler to make

a coloured ribbon around the waist is being used a lot today.
bridesmaid colour black - I think the dress is going to be a little black dress
Blue as a colour also seems nice but to overdone. Purple print seems like a nice idea, it would blend in with the water, sand and black pants.

jumping on the nostalgia bus

-when you go on a trip, bring music that you've never heard to make nostalgia playlists
When you have no imprint on this new music, you'll be able to create new memories that will revive when you hear the songs later

-keep a journal

-use cues to help trigger memories, imprint and review.
Most childhood memories have only bits and pieces of factual memories, the rest is made up stuff to fill in the gaps.

Reducer

Things I do to reduce my impact

- Refill my ink cartridges,
- print on both sides of paper, reuse for notes
- reuse glass jars,
- use cloth napkins instead of paper towels at the dinner table and cleaning. The only time I don't have a substitute is when I cook bacon and use it to dab off the grease. Ideas?
- donate egg cartons to the food bank,
- donate old clothes and stuff,
- buy thrift clothes and sometimes reconstruct them,
- get books and movies from the library instead of buying them,
- never buy bottled water, I have a Brita and travel mugs
- use cloth bags while shopping, but I take plastic shopping bags when I need more garbage bags. The garbage has to go in some type of bag - and those are free.
