Organizing: Important Papers

- Give each member of the household their own folder for each applicable category

-How long to keep important papers:
Bank Statements - 1 month, statements are available online
Credit Card Statements - shred after checking the accuracy of transactions, statements available online
Paychecks - 1 year until you file your taxes
Bills - 1 year until you file your taxes
